To stimulate economic activity, interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the Central Business District Authority would be extended from Lahore to Rawalpindi.
On Wednesday, he visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and made this announcement.
The Authority will hopefully address a number of issues that the business community has, the Chief Minister expressed hope.
He also promised to develop a one-window operating facility in Chambers after the Chinese model in order to assist the business community and to provide No Objection Certificates to them within fifteen days.
The Chief Minister suggested that in order to give the populace better access to healthcare, the business community take control of a government hospital and run it autonomously.
He also laid the cornerstone for the showcase center for small and medium-sized businesses and cottage industries.
